HOW LONG HAS EZ-REF BEEN AROUND?

EZ-REF was started by two instructors back in 1993. We were the first company to offer editable courseware that could be customized by clients.  For more than two decades, our materials have been sold worldwide to corporations, government agencies, universities, school districts and independent contractors.

 

HOW IS EZ-REF DIFFERENT THAN COMPETITORS?

At our core, we’re instructors writing FOR instructors!  Our manuals are designed to give trainers the flexibility to speed up or slow down the class as needed. Because we separate the steps for performing a task from practice exercises, the materials also serve as an easy-to-follow guide for students to use after class.

People sign up for a training session because they don’t want to read the entire user’s manual – they just want to learn the most commonly used features. Because our competitors aren’t trainers, they often cram way too much into what is supposed to be a one day class which results in instructors being too rushed to adequately cover each new topic and leaving students without enough time to practice what they have just learned.

 

IF I PURCHASE, WHAT DO I GET?

A fully editable student manual, an accompanying instructor guide, EZ-Reference Card, Skill Level Survey (to properly place students in intermediate and advanced level classes) and any applicable exercise files. Upon receipt of payment, you will be provided access to immediately download the titles(s) from our website.

 

HOW DO I MAKE EDITS?

The manuals are available in Microsoft Word using simple tabs and indents to make editing as simple as possible. If you can cut and paste, you can edit our manuals. We also place exercises on separate pages so that clients can quickly and easily swap them out if they prefer using their own custom exercises for training. WHAT PRICING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

  • Single Titles (such as Beginning Word 2016)  $295/per site one time licensing fee!
  • Microsoft Office Suite (such as Office 2016)   $1,595/per site one time licensing fee!
  • Complete Courseware Library (includes ALL of our Office suites) $2,495/per site one time licensing fee!
  • Complete Library Upgrade (for owners of the Complete Library, we offer a $500 upgrade option).  No obligations! However, if a new version of MS Office is released after your initial library purchase, you will be eligible to order an upgrade to the library.

 NOTE:  We also offer printed copies for clients who don’t need to customize the manuals and don’t have the time or resources to print. 

 

WHAT’S THE CATCH?  WHY ARE YOUR MATERIALS SO REASONABLY-PRICED?

There is no catch!  We simply have never forgotten the original intent of the product and why the company was started.

While we now sell to major colleges and universities, as well as corporations and government agencies, we pride ourselves in knowing that independent trainers can also afford our materials.

In addition, we have always licensed our manuals for a one-time price.  There are no yearly renewal fees. We treat our courseware just like any other software product. You don’t have to pay every year to continue to use it. That also means that once we give you access to the courseware, it’s like software – there are no refunds. That’s why we encourage you to download the samples we provide on this site and/or request a full day preview.

 

CAN I USE THE MANUALS FOR ANYTHING  OTHER THAN INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAINING?

Even though our courseware was written for instructor-led training, many of our corporate clients have created secured intranets in which they allow their employees to access the materials when a class cannot be taken.  Many customers have reported that our product actually works quite well as a self-paced tutorial.
